Mother is the emotional carrier in Wenjing artworks. The micro-world presented in her works is a time-recording of this carrier, and it is the memory of women being turned into fertility machines and women body pain and scars. Woman Series — IUD is a work in the "Woman Series" created by Zhou Wenjing in 2014. It is about pain, love, and the awakening of self-awareness. It is Zhou Wenjing first work in the field of contemporary art, and it is a beginning. After Zhou Wenjing's mother experienced the ring removal event in 2011, Zhou began to study whether the birth control ring is related to the disease, and interviewed 50 women who used the contraceptive ring, and did relevant political, sociological and pathological research. She collected birth control rings from various countries in the world, using copper wires of different thicknesses to make them in proportion to the original size, forming various forms of birth control rings, which are hung on blue flannel like jewelry. This work makes people more intuitively feel that the cold equipment is wrapped in the warm female body. The contradiction in the artwork constitutes a strong impact. This is a problem that is easily overlooked but is closely related to every woman.
